POLYMORPH
Polymorph is one of a new generation of commercial polymers set to have a major impact on model making and prototyping. This polymer has all the characteristics of a tough engineering material yet it fuses and becomes easily mouldable at just 62°C. It can be heated with just hot water or a hairdryer and moulded by hand to create prototypes and solve manufacturing problems currently outside the capacity of other materials.
Uses for Polymorph include:
• Moulding of handles and orthopaedic aids
• Vacuum forming moulds
• Moulds for batch producing other mouldings
• Prototype mechanical parts
• Armatures/frames for models
• Inserts for compliant products

Oven Shrinks
Oven shrinks are easy to use and ideal for
badges, key fobs, fridge magnets and
jewellery. To use simply draw or trace a
design onto the plastic sheet then colour in
your design using coloured pencils or felt
pens. Once completed cut out your design
and place in a domestic oven on a baking
tray. Leave for approx. 3-4 minutes at Gas
Mark 1 or 140°C. The design amazingly shrinks 7 times smaller whilst becoming 7 times thicker. Use with strip magnets and sticky fixers.

MOD-ROC
Mod-Roc is a plaster impregnated gauze, containing a special resin which overcomes the major disadvantage of plaster for modelling in that it is more chip-proof, whilst maintaining
the advantages of ease of use, speed of setting and capacity for fine detail. An armature of Mod Mesh wire netting, aluminium modelling rod, withes or wood can be covered with a basic shape of dampened newspaper tied with string, to make a strong rigid frame. Mod-Roc is then immersed in tepid water for about 3 seconds, squeezed gently and ‘bandaged’ onto the frame. The surface may be smoothed while damp, fine detail is possible with fingers and modelling tools whilst 3 dimensional shapes may be added with moulded sections.

Thermocolour Sheet
A remarkable self-adhesive sheet material printed with thermochromic liquid crystal 'ink'. Changes colour (bright blue) when heated above 27°C. Potential applications are many and varied. E.g. temperature indication/warnings, body jewellery, advertising displays (attach a resistance wire to the rear and pass a small current to cause dramatic colour changes to the front 'screen'. Note: typical applications require only very small pieces – e.g. 25mm x 25mm.
NOTE: Sample Pack contains a piece of thermocolour sheet (50 x 150mm) and a metre of resistance wire and information pamphlet describes how to make a simple 'LCD' display.
